Listen to it here: [link] Waking up I see that everything is ok
The first time in my life and now it's so great!
Slowing down I look around and I am so amazed
I think about the little things that make life great
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
This innocence is brilliant, I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect, please don't go away, I need you now
And I'll hold on to it, don't you let it pass you by
I found a place so safe, not a single tear
The first time in my life and now it's so clear
Feel calm I belong, I'm so happy here
It's so strong and now I let myself be sincere
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
(chorus) This innocence is brilliant, I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect, please don't go away, I need you now
And I'll hold on to it, don't you let it pass you by (/chorus)
It's the state of bliss you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry
--------- repeat
It's so beautiful it makes you want to cry
(chorus x 2)

Wow, I finally finished it! This is my entry to the Soquili Contest on Gaiaonline: [link] . I'm amazed I managed to stay motivated to finish it. ;D This must be the first fully rendered CG that I've done in my lifetime. At first I wasn't going to enter, but then I got a spark of inspiration after listening to the song on radioblogclub. I really like the end result--but mostly because of the background and the horse. Princess Soquili looks a little...cheeky? I have no idea. Her proportions are totally off. As for the background I had to go through a lot of references to do the tree bark and the horse (soquili) especially. I chose to make the soquili "generic" so that there wouldn't be any "favoritism" if I chose a specific soquili to use in the image--plus, if I had, it would probably have removed the focus from Princess Soquili--if it doesn't already.
And to explain the relationship between the image and the song... The background is supposed to seem all bright and happy (hence the yellowing grass and pink sky) to symbolize the "innocence" and "brillance" which is the main point of the song. The tree is supposed to appear large and grand in order to portray the "safe" place. And since the background/history of the soquili has a lot to do with dreams--well, dream-catchers at least, I thought it fit with the lines on "bliss" and "dreaming".

However, because you said critique was welcomed:
- The horse's neck is a bit off. The part by the chin, that's almost like a fold of skin attatched to the neck? (The part that is shaded with sort of stripes?) If that bit was taken off, the horse would look more realistic... ^_^
- Princess Soquili's cheeks are a bit large. ^-^;
But overall totally gorgeous! <3

Eee, you finished it! It looks so good. Good luck with the contest! I had to come over here and comment on this, though I'm gonna say great job in GtH, too. <3
The Background it definitely breathtaking and Princess's cheeks are so chubby I wanna pinch them D
My only notes of critique are the hind legs of the Soquili because they look a bit odd and the body seems elongated [maybe its just me] and the neck/chin part. Otherwise its great, good luck! 8D

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
